The process for Ultimate Treatment is similar to our original treatments and other brands but the way we apply, rinse and iron are very different.
Once you fully understand the Ultimate Treatment differences, you'll love the new way of working which is both quicker and easier.
Shorter Leave on Time
For normal to resistant hair, leave the second shampoo of Pre-Treatment Cleanser on for 5 minutes and cover with a cap. If the hair is porous, shampoo twice and rinse immediately.
Towel Dry, Not Blow Dry
Before applying Pre-Treatment Spray Plus, gently towel dry the hair. Then, apply Pre-Treatment Spray Plus to the damp hair in 2 - 3cm sections and comb through. Concentrate on the most porous areas. There’s no need to dry the hair thoroughly before applying the Spray or Treatment which saves time.
2 - 3 cm Sections
Section the hair, then apply Ultimate Treatment close to, but never on the roots. Working in larger sections is very quick. It's important to use enough treatment; it's not possible to overload the hair with Ultimate Treatment as you can with other treatments.
Sink In
Let the treatment sink into the hair for up to 30 - 45 minutes, covering with a cap. This time is enough to look after another client.
Check
Check the hair is still damp by combing through after 20 - 30 minutes. This combing re-distributes the treatment ensuring best results. Re-cover and leave for the final 10 - 15 minutes.
Moisture Lock
Rinse quickly for 20 seconds (add an extra minute for white or platinum blonde hair). Apply the Moisture Lock throughout the hair and leave for 2 minutes before rinsing for 30 seconds.
Iron Slowly in Large Sections
Dry the hair 100% before ironing slowly in large 2 - 3cm sections. It's essential to use our "First Pass" technique to create the seal and allow each section to cool for 2 seconds. Adjust the temperature and passes of the irons as you continue to iron, to personalise for the individual hair type. A final pass at 180°C in giant sections completes the ironing process.
Shampoo from just 30 minutes
Shampoo the hair any time after 30 minutes. It is important to rinse for 3 - 5 minutes before the first shampoo, even if your client does this at home. Most other treatments force you to wait up to 3 days before shampooing.
Faster
Regular keratin treatments take around 3 - 4 hours for the client and stylist.
KS Ultimate takes 2.5 - 3 hours for the client, with only 1.5 - 2 hours of time for the stylist making it far more profitable.
